Hook-up Spots (That hallowed spot where everyone hangs around with their mates dreaming of the time when they can get into the pubs or clubs - a bench, a corner: you name it.)

Outside Churchill square shopping center or Brighton peir
There used to be a huge group of goths that spent thier whole lives in the pavilion gardens, or The pavvy G, as some might know it, unfortunately, most got kicked out for setting off fireworks etc and then quite a few died from drug/depression related issues, so the Pavilion Garden is no longer a 'hook up spot' for them, but a load of people go there in the summer to sit in the sun and...
meeting place cafe, seafront
the garden-y place outside the pavilion is nice - smells of ganja and sometimes some guy plays a piano there
The level down Brighton seafront, home of the hallowed Concorde 2.
Concorde2
Fields around Varndean college
we used to go and hang out on the railway tracks behind the rockery. thank god nobody was hit by a train. we used to set stuff on fire.
Churchill Square is definitely best avoided cos of large numbers of Chavs who hang out there
sydney street is the best for meeting up its the koolest place 2 be. but preston park cycle track and the bottom of blakers can be quite cool
Palmeira Square (the bottom green nearest the beach), all punks, skaters and chilled lot who realy dont care. no townies please! Daffy
the beach between the Palace Pier and the funny lil groyne thing is great to throw beach parties in the summer.
Come to the Level and join in the festivities, or outside geminis on the beach in the summer.
the beach is always good, especially in the summer with all the bongo playing hippies. they're fun to laugh at. not too bad for skating either.
Palace Pier (now Brighton Pier)
The station in the evening, waiting for the train.
if you ARE a crusty, the back of the pavillion gardens is filled with newage travellers/ hippies but the coolest place youll ever wanna hang out is sydney street on the northern lanes: mods, rockers, hippies, rastas, crustys, goths, grungers, grebos, punks, emo's, skaters - and NO skinhead/essex girl townies.
down the preston or blakers parks
hot skate boys in the skate park, boy racers under the volks..my painted catpad
pavillion gardens old steine
The only people who hang out in Brighton are the skaters at the level (where the Levellers got their name from), and the bums which scatter themselves liberally around the town centre. Avoid walking down London Road by St Peters Church if you don't like being asked for change.
We like to hook up at my mates purple bedsit round the back of the station. I love this part of Brighton. Its nice and easy to score some smack, so much easier than Liverpool where my crowd comes from.
Brightons great. You dont even have to work to survive as theirs lots of bleedin heart liberals to bail us out. Once the gear kicks in we hook up again in the lanes and beg for money to buy tennants Super.
I'd say the most obvious place to hook up is that 'small Ben' or the Clock Tower in the centre of Town.
The steps outside of BCT has a sick six set
The bus shelter in Victoria Park, Portslade.....Tesco value lager anyone?
Anywhere the Levellers and crusty types aren't
the main beaches\?
i used to hang out down the 'strip'. near to marina end of volks railway... see those tyres burn!!
The Mash Tun, Church Street.
The Western Front, Cranbourn Street.
The Fish Bowl, East Street.
All great pubs full of skaters, the chef at The Wester Front Skates, and it is right opposite Churchill Square - Brighton's premier shopping facility/skate park.
All have excellent food and excellent staff. Especially Ellie@the Western who is a BABE.
Pavilion Gardens cafe, just about everyone goes there eventually
Churchill Square or any park esp Preston Park.
Paradox is a must - for meat lovers of all ages - for those older tastes - late 20s onwards try The Catfish - pulling is done with more style and class!
The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!
In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor

We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!
